
Pedestrian Struck, Killed at Bay Point Intersection
BAY POINT, Calif. (Feb. 3, 2025) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Sunday night at Riverside Drive and Port Chicago Highway in Bay Point.
The deadly collision occurred at around 8:27 p.m. on Feb. 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported a driver in a red GMC struck the person in the roadway due to unknown circumstances. The pedestrian was reportedly not moving and died at the scene, the report said.
The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office made a request for the coroner to respond and a tow truck removed the vehicle for evidence.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Bay Point pedestrian accident.
