Pedestrian Suffers Injury After Crash in Bay Terraces

BAY TERRACES, San Diego County (July 17, 2017) – According to an article by NBC San Diego, a hit-and-run accident took place on Alta View Drive Sunday evening.

Officials said a pedestrian was left injured in the 2200 block of Alta View Drive after being hit by a vehicle.

Paramedics arrived shortly after 5:27 p.m. and attended to the victim who reportedly sustained serious injuries including a broken femur. The name and condition of the patient remained unknown at this time.

Investigators are coordinating with possible witnesses and gathering more information and evidence to locate the alleged hit-and-run driver and to identify the make and model of the vehicle involved.

Any time a motorist hits another vehicle or a pedestrian, and then flees the scene without rendering aid or leaving a contact information, it is considered a hit-and-run. Based on the news report, the pedestrian was left seriously hurt after being struck by a car. The driver involved did not stop and fled, making him fully responsible for causing injuries to the victim.

Without the representation of a lawyer, insurance companies might make contact with you directly, and since they are trained to protect their best interests, this could mean a loss of rights on your behalf, especially if you unknowingly sign something that they didn't completely explain to you.
