Beatriz Rafael, 32, Killed in Lynwood Crash on 710 Freeway
LYNWOOD, CA (June 1, 2023) – Beatriz Rafael was killed after a crash on the 710 Freeway near Imperial Highway in Lynwood.
The coroner’s office identified the 32-year-old woman as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place on Thursday.
The incident happened when Beatriz Rafael was riding in a vehicle which collided with several others in Lynwood. The cars crashed for an unknown reason on the southbound 710 Freeway.
Several Vehicles Collide
Witnesses told the California Highway Patrol a black Jeep possibly struck the center divider and multiple other vehicles near Imperial Highway.
One of the cars involved, a silver Mini Cooper, obtained significant damage due to the impact of the collision. The CBS Los Angeles and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on June 1 at at around 1:15 a.m.
Beatriz Rafael ended up ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash. She landed on one of the freeway lanes and soon died at the scene.
Officers forced all southbound lanes of the 710 Freeway to shut down for hours following the wreck. The cause of the Lynwood crash is still under investigation.
