2 Hospitalized After Collision Near Highway 60
Beaumont, CA (October 27, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 10 Freeway.
Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 10 in Beaumont
According to the Desert Sun News, three semi trucks collided on I-10 near Highway 60 Wednesday morning. Earlier reports indicated the multi-vehicle crash led to a Sigalert issued for a roughly 7-mile stretch of the roadway; starting at San Timeteo Canyon Road on the west side of Beaumont to Highland Springs Avenue.
Shortly after 4:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. Emergency crews said at least one person ended up trapped in the wreck. Responding firefighters worked extensively to extricate the victim. The article published online confirmed two people injured in the crash were transported to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation. Pending confirmation, the names of the patients remained undisclosed.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. At this time, they continue to investigate exactly how and why the accident happened on Interstate 10 in Beaumont.
