Samantha Lee Ciotta, 32, Arrested, Charged After Alleged Sex with Minor
BEAUMONT, California (Sept. 21, 2017) — Samantha Lee Ciotta, 32, of Banning was arrested Wednesday after a student alleged a sexual relationship with the Beaumont High School English teacher.
She was booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility near Banning.
Ciotta, who is also head cheer team coach at the high school, was placed on administrative leave by Beaumont Unified School District.
Police are investigating the allegations made by a student that Coitta had unlawful sexual intercourse and oral copulation with the minor for several months. The teacher and student also allegedly had inappropriate communications over this period.
Detectives are investigating the allegations and are attempting to determine if there were any other victims of this alleged crime.
Ciotta, who obtained her teaching credential in 2010, is new to Beaumont High School and previously worked at La Quinta High School.
