BEAUMONT: Man, Child Killed in 3-Car Crash on Beaumont Avenue, First Street
BEAUMONT, California (July 30, 2015) — Raymond Rivera and his one-year-old daughter Illyana Rivera were both killed in a three-vehicle crash on Beaumont Avenue and First Street, the Riverside County Fire Department and the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner reported.
The collision was reported at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday afternoon between a white Ford truck and a red Toyota Corolla which then crashed into a second truck. The white truck had been driving northbound on Beaumont Avenue when it struck the Toyota as it drove westbound on First Street. The impact caused the Toyota to hit the third vehicle.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Three juvenile passengers were critically injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment. The one-year-old child died at the hospital and there are no further details about the other two children.
Also injured in the crash was the driver of the Ford truck. He suffered moderate injuries and was also hospitalized.
Police are investigating to determine who had the right-of-way and who was liable for this tragic accident.
