BEAUMONT, California (December 24, 2016) – A pedestrian was critically injured after a hit-and-run collision in the area of Fourth Street and California Avenue on Friday, according to The Press Enterprise.
The accident was reported at 5:10 p.m.
As per the article, Beaumont police said the pedestrian was found lying on railroad tracks after apparently being struck by a vehicle. The victim was suffering from major injuries consistent with being hit.
The patient was immediately taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition. The name of the pedestrian has not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect car was described as a silver Saab or Hyundai, with possible out-of-state license plates. It has a cracked or faded rear passenger tail light and front bumper damage on the passenger side.
