Deadly Pedestrian Accident on State Route 91
BELLFLOWER, Calif. (Sept. 19, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident occurred Tuesday morning on the Artesia 91 Freeway in Bellflower, just east of the Clark Avenue on ramp.
The collision occurred around 5:54 a.m. on Sept. 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the crash in the eastbound lanes of State Route 91. The HOV and Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes were blocked, prompting a SigAlert.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help the person, but unfortunately the unidentified person died at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner also responded and will release the victim’s name after notifying relatives about their death.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal Bellflower pedestrian accident on the 91 Freeway.
