Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Olive Drive
Bakersfield, CA (April 22, 2023) – Ben Cano, a 33-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on State Route Highway 99 Monday afternoon, April 17.
The KGET News reported a vehicle struck an individual on SR-99 near Olive Drive. According to the article published online, the pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the collision. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim but they eventually succumbed to their injuries and passed away.

Family members recently identified the deceased as Ben Cano. At this time, it remained unclear why the pedestrian was crossing the highway at the time of the crash.
