Felix-Zuniga Brothers Killed in Highland Park Hit-and-Run on San Pascual Avenue
LOS ANGELES (May 5, 2019) – Two brothers were killed after an alleged hit-and-run crash along San Pascual Avenue in the Highland Park neighborhood early Sunday.
The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Benigno Felix-Zuniga and 19-year-old Jesse Felix-Zuniga.
Police said the two men were riding a white Ford Fusion west on Pollard Street when at the same time a a white Chevy Silverado pickup was traveling north on San Pascual Avenue.
According to reports by The Daily News and KTLA, the truck then hit the Ford which was forced onto three or four parked cars nearby.
Highland Park Fatal Car Accident on San Pascual Avenue
The two occupants of the Fusion were pronounced dead at the scene. The fatal accident occurred at about 1:15 a.m. in the 700 block of North San Pascual Avenue.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver and the passenger of the pickup abandoned their vehicle following the collision and fled on foot.
The suspects, who were traveling between 70 and 90 mph prior to impact, were described as as two Hispanic men in their 20s. The incident remains under investigation.
