Pedestrian Killed in Littlerock Crash on 90th Street East
LITTLEROCK, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2021) – Benjamin Sotelo Hernandez, 85, of Palmdale, died in a Littlerock pedestrian accident early Monday morning on 90th Street East.
The elderly Palmdale man was struck by a driver in an SUV and killed just before 5 a.m. on Nov. 8th at the Littlerock intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened in a dimly-lit area at the intersection with East Palmdale Boulevard, according to CHP Officer Peter Nicholson.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim today as Benjamin Sotelo Hernandez on their website.
Meanwhile, the driver, identified as 37-year-old Edith Arriaga Vazquez of Littlerock, stopped and cooperated with the police investigation. One report stated a witness told 911 operators a woman was crying next to an SUV following the collision.
It’s unknown at this time if police will issue a citation or charge the motorist.
