Benly Nanthavong, 27, Killed in Highway 58 Crash Near Edwards Air Force Base
KERN COUNTY, CA (November 8, 2021) – Benly Nanthavong was killed in a Kern County crash on Highway 58 near Edwards Air Force Base.
The coroner’s office identified the 27-year-old Stockton man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place last week on Friday.
The incident happened when Benly Nic Nanthavong was riding a vehicle west on Highway 58 near the Edwards Air Force Base.
2 Vehicles Collide
The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason, the car he was in collided with another. The two crashed near Castle Butte Road in Kern County.
Benly Nanthavong died as a result of the crash. The Kern Golden Empire wrote that the accident occurred on November 5 shortly before 2:45 a.m.
CHP added that firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and extricated a trapped occupant from the wreckage.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Highway 58 to shut down for hours following the crash. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
