Pedestrian Killed in Berkeley Hit-and-run Crash
BERKELEY, Calif. (Sept. 16, 2019) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver late Saturday night in Berkeley.
The unidentified person was struck near the Ashby BART station on Adeline Street in Berkeley.
Several reports were made to police about a body being under a vehicle around 10:22 p.m. The victim was then found by police in the street and died at the scene.
A full investigation into what happened was conducted by the Berkeley Police Department. They closed down Adeline Street between Ashby Avenue and Essex Street in both directions.
Police and the organization Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the driver.
