OROVILLE, California (April 7, 2016) — A fatal crash took place Thursday afternoon at Oroville Quincy Highway (Highway 162) near Foreman Creek Road in this small community near Oroville, a California Highway Patrol report said.
Per Action News Now, a motorcyclist had been heading westbound along Highway 162 before being struck by a 31-year-old woman driving an SUV.
Preliminary investigations disclosed that the SUV driver identified as Rebecca Dobson suddenly slowed her vehicle down to make a turn and struck the passing unidentified rider as he attempted to stop and avoid the crash but was unable to do so.
Per the Chico ER, Brandon Robuck, a Berry Creek resident, suffered fatal injuries after being ejected off the motorcycle.
Police officials have ruled out the involvement of drugs or alcohol.
