Hit-and-run Motorist Sought by Police

 Bertha Nunez Norwalk Hit-and-run Crash Pioneer and Firestone boulevardsNORWALK, Calif. (August 9, 2021) – Bertha Nunez, 75, of Norwalk, died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident Sunday morning at Pioneer and Firestone boulevards.

Authorities are on the lookout for the motorist who fled the scene without stopping to help the injured woman. Sadly, she died at the scene due to major injuries, according to the KTLA News and My News LA.

The deadly crash happened around 8:15 a.m. Sunday, August 8th near Pioneer and Firestone boulevards, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified Bertha Nunez as the woman who died on their website. So far, there is no description of the hit-and-run vehicle, nor the suspect who fled.
