Betty Estrada, 61, Killed in Cajon Pass Car Accident on Highway 138
CAJON PASS (September 27, 2018) – One was killed and three were injured after a traffic collision along Highway 138 near Cajon Junction Thursday, according to Victor Valley News.
The accident occurred at about 8:20 a.m., approximately 1.5 miles east of the Interstate 15 Freeway.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason a silver Toyota Camry and an SUV collided head-on on a tight curve in the westbound lanes of Highway 138.
San Bernardino County Fire Department officials responded to the scene and extricated two people from the wreckage. A total of four parties were injured following the crash, three occupants from one vehicle and one person from the other.

Three individuals were taken by ground ambulances to local hospitals while one immediate patient was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Sheriff’s Department affirmed that the driver of a westbound car involved, 61-year-old Hesperia resident Betty Margaret Estrada, was transported to St. Bernardine Medical Center where she later died.
The names and condition of the other three wounded victims were not immediately released. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
