Man, 26, Killed in Beverly Grove Hit-and-Run Crash Near Croft Avenue and Beverly Boulevard

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 17, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian near Croft Avenue and Beverly Boulevard in Beverly Grove.

According to the ABC 7 News and My News LA, the tragic accident occurred early Saturday. Officers reported the collision at about 2:20 a.m.

The incident happened when a male pedestrian was walking southbound on Croft Avenue near Beverly Boulevard in the Beverly Grove community.

At the same time, a vehicle was going eastbound in the No. 1 lane of Beverly Boulevard. Los Angeles police said the driver then struck the 26-year-old Arizona man in an unmarked crosswalk.

Pedestrian Hit by Car

The impact pushed the victim in an eastbound direction and caused him to hit the roadway. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased pedestrian remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled eastbound.

Officers described the car involved as a white colored BMW. The fatal Beverly Grove hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
