1 Hospitalized After Collision at Baldy Mesa and Phelan Road
Phelan, CA (April 10, 2023) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Baldy Mesa and Phelan Road, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
Vehicle Hits Cyclist in Phelan
Officials said a juvenile riding a bicycle collided with a blue Hyundai SUV at the busy intersection in Phelan. CHP logged the case on April 9, Sunday, around 8:49 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately checked the conditions of all parties involved in the wreck. Our sources later confirmed one person, possibly the bicyclist, sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. An ambulance transported the victim to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment and further evaluation. Personal information on the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened at Baldy Mesa and Phelan Road.
