CASTRO VALLEY, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2023) — A person riding a bicycle was injured Thursday morning in a car accident on Castro Valley Boulevard at Crow Canyon Road.
The collision occurred about 6:34 a.m. on Feb. 2nd in Castro Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a silver Honda Accord sedan hit the bicyclist at the intersection. The bicyclist managed to move to the center island of the roadway after the crash.
Paramedics responded as a precaution to help the injured rider and determine if he or she required an ambulance.
There are no further details at this time.
Police will determine fault for the Castro Valley bicycle accident. It’s unknown if authorities issued any citations to the people involved.
