Driver Hits Bicyclist at San Lorenzo Intersection

SAN LORENZO, Calif. (Jan. 13, 2025) — A driver struck a bicycle rider Monday morning in a car accident on Hesperian Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue in San Lorenzo.

The traffic accident occurred at around 9:24 a.m. on Jan. 13th, in the East Bay area of Alameda County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a silver Honda Civic struck the pedestrian in the southbound lanes of Hesperian Boulevard due to unknown circumstances.

One driver called 911 to report the crash and stated they were using their vehicle to safeguard the downed bicyclist.

Paramedics responded to help the cyclist who suffered minor to moderate injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver involved cooperated with the police investigation. Detectives are working on the case and will determine fault.
