Bicyclist Injured in Crash on SR-113 in Yolo County
YOLO COUNTY, Calif. (August 12, 2024) — A fatal bicycle accident happened Monday on Highway 113, just south of County Road 102 at the border of Knights Landing and Woodland.
The collision occurred at around 11:34 a.m. on August 12th in Yolo County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said a driver in a black Jeep hit the bicyclist due to unknown circumstances.
Someone called 911 to report the crash and the Yolo Fire Department responded and sheriff’s deputies closed down the roadway at CR-102 and SR-113, the report said.
The CHP report stated paramedics were performing CPR on the person at the scene, but the victim later died from their injuries. Police did not confirm the age, gender or name of the person who was hurt.
Authorities determined a long-term closure was necessary and an investigation is underway to determine fault for the bicycle accident on Highway 113.
