Bicyclist Injured in Crash on McBean Parkway

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2023) — A bicycle accident happened Tuesday morning on the McBean Parkway off ramp from the Interstate 5 Freeway in Santa Clarita.

The traffic accident occurred at around 9 a.m. on Oct. 10th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a vehicle struck the person riding a bicycle due to unknown circumstances. The bicycle accident is the second on McBean Parkway this week.

Meanwhile, paramedics responded and transported the injured bicycle rider to Henry Mayo Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The victim’s age, gender and identified were not released at this time.

It appears that the driver involved stopped and is cooperating with authorities.

Finally, investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Santa Clarita bicycle accident.
