Nipomo: Bicycle Accident on Highway 101

Major Injury Collision Near Tefft Street

Nipomo, CA (May 8, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a bicycle accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101 on May 8, Monday.

Our sources indicated a person riding a bike collided with a vehicle in the northbound side of the freeway near the Tefft Street offramp. The make and model of the car involved in the crash have not been revealed thus far.

CHP logged the case around 4:48 a.m.

Cyclist Badly Hurt in Nipomo Crash

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the cyclist. Medical personnel later confirmed the person riding the bike sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Pending confirmation, the name and age of the victim remained undisclosed.

Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several unclear factors surrounding the traffic accident that happened on Highway 101 in Nipomo.
