Cyclist Hospitalized After Collision Near Walnut Avenue
Long Beach, CA (June 4, 2023) – A bicyclist suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Pacific Coast Highway May 29, Monday.
The Long Beach Post News reported a woman was riding a bike heading east on PCH near Walnut Avenue. When the cyclist approached the area near Long Beach City College, they were struck by a vehicle traveling west on the highway in Long Beach.
Major Injury Bicycle Accident in Long Beach
Shortly after 9:45p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics attended to the female bicyclist found suffering in injuries. An ambulance later transferred the victim to a local hospital. Medical personnel listed the injured cyclist in critical but stable condition.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver that hit the victim stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. Personnel from the Long Beach Police Department continue to work at this time to determine liability in the traffic accident that happened on Pacific Coast Highway near Long Beach City College.
