Cyclist Hurt in Collision on Willow Lake Road

Discovery Bay, CA (April 16, 2023) – On April 10, Monday, a traffic accident that occurred on Willow Lake Road resulted in injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

1 Hospitalized After Crash in Discovery Bay

Officials said a person riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle near the 1012 block of Willow Lake Road in Discovery Bay. The CHP log mentioned the force from the impact ejected the cyclist from their bike. Shortly after 2:35 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location and found the victim holding their head while sitting on the curb. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the injured cyclist. Medical personnel requested an ambulance to transfer the victim to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.

Several factors surrounding the collision remained unclear. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine liability in the traffic accident that happened in Discovery Bay.
