Bicyclist Injured in Crash on Peach Ave, near Highway 180
FRESNO, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2023) – A bicycle accident happened Sunday night on Peach Avenue near Clay Avenue and Highway 180 in Fresno.
The bicycle versus car accident happened around 8:10 p.m. on Sept. 10th, according to the Fresno Police Department.
The man was thrown off the bike into the southbound lanes of Peach Avenue, the report said.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, suffered multiple injuries including lacerations and a possible broken arm or leg. The injured bicycle rider was transported to the hospital.
Investigators determined the motorist was traveling southbound on Peach Avenue. As the driver went through the intersection at Clay Avenue, the driver hit the bicyclist. The bike crossed the intersection from the east side to the west side at the time of the collision.
Witnesses told authorities the driver had a green light. The motorist stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
