Cyclist Injured in Collision with SUV | Valley Blvd Closed for Hours
INDUSTRY, CA (April 16, 2025) — A bicyclist was injured early Tuesday morning following a collision with a black Cadillac Escalade SUV at the intersection of Valley Boulevard and North Sunset Avenue, just west of 7th Avenue.
The incident occurred around 5:25 a.m. on April 16th, prompting a swift response from the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department. All westbound lanes of Valley Blvd at 7th were shut down by fire crews shortly after 5:45 a.m. to allow emergency personnel to assist the injured cyclist and manage the scene.
The report did not provide details about the age or gender of the cyclists or if the person was taken to a hospital.
CHP logs confirm that a tow truck was requested to the scene shortly after 6:30 a.m. The SUV sustained significant front-end damage, and authorities confirmed the road remained closed during cleanup and investigation.
There is no immediate word on the condition of the bicyclist.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes during the morning commute. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
