Cyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision on Appian Way
Pinole, CA (August 27, 2022) – A bicyclist suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Appian Way, the East County Today News reported.
Auto vs. Bicycle Accident in Pinole
On July 25, Monday, a man riding a bike collided with a passenger vehicle in the 2100 block of Appian Way in Pinole. The accident took place around 5:07 p.m.
The force from the impact ejected the cyclist onto the ground. According to the article published online, the victim got out of the roadway after the incident. The injured cyclist walked to a nearby motel and called the police.
When medical personnel arrived, they immediately attended to the injured cyclist. The article published online mentioned the victim sustained multiple trauma including a fractured pelvis. The name of the victim, and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Officials mentioned the driver involved in the collision fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
