Bicyclist Injured in Car Accident on Norris Road
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 25, 2024) — A man riding a bicycle suffered minor injuries when he was hit by a Kern County Sheriff’s patrol vehicle Thursday on Norris Road in Oildale.
The traffic accident occurred at around 1 p.m. on Jan. 25th, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office and Bakersfield Now.
The sheriff’s deputy vehicle was heading eastbound on Norris Road when the driver struck the bicycle rider near Wells Avenue in Oildale.
Paramedics responded and treated the man for minor injuries, but he declined an ambulance or further treatment.
It’s unknown if the driver or the bicycle rider was at fault.
