Bicyclist Killed After Road Rage Incident Between Drivers Rosendo Ortiz, Karina Saucedo
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (June 5, 2018) — A bicyclist, identified as 45-year-old Efrain Garcia, died Monday afternoon after being struck by a driver allegedly engaging in a road rage incident with another motorist.
The collision took place about 7 p.m. last night. Two drivers identified as Rosendo Ortiz, 32, and Karina Saucedo, 28, both of San Bernardino, were reportedly engaging in a road rage incident as they drove eastbound on Fifth Street. Ortiz was just ahead of Saucedo as they approached the intersection of Fifth Street and Ramona Avenue. The bicyclist was crossing the intersection and was struck by Ortiz’s Infinity. Saucedo avoided the bicyclist and crashed her BMW into a parked car.
The bicyclist, who became the unintended victim of the road rage incident, died at the scene. Police questioned both drivers following the fatal crash, but no arrests were made as of Tuesday morning.

Police are investigating this collision to determine fault. At this time, it appears that Rosendo Ortiz may be responsible for the death of this bicyclist, but also Karina Saucedo could be held liable for engaging in a road rage incident that led to this person’s death.
