Cyclist Hit by Car, Suffers Moderate Injuries
NAPA, California (May 13, 2016) – A bicyclist was hospitalized after a collision Thursday afternoon on Lincoln Avenue. according to Napa Valley Register. (map)
Napa City Fire said a man in his 40s was riding his bicycle west on Lincoln Avenue on the south side of the road when he was hit by a car at 12:35 p.m.
The cyclist appeared to have suffered moderate injuries. He was taken by ground ambulance to Valley Medical Center for further medical treatment.
His name was not released.
Meanwhile, Napa City Fire added that the driver involved was coming off the Highway 29 northbound exit ramp when it struck the victim. The vehicle was believed to have been travelling at about 25 mph at the time of the crash.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
