Bicyclist Hurt in Car Accident at Imperial Highway On-ramp
LENNOX, Calif. (August 3, 2018) — A bicyclist was injured in a car accident at the Imperial Highway on ramp to the Interstate 405 Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 7:13 a.m. this morning, just east of Inglewood Avenue. The bicyclist was struck by a gray Volkswagon GTI that was rear-ended by a white BMW and pushed forward into the bike. The rider was complaining of pain after and was on the ground.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene to treat and possibly transport the injured cyclist to a hospital. The extent of injuries was not disclosed in the report.
Police closed down the Imperial Highway on ramp while they investigated the incident.
