Bicyclist Hit by Two Hit-and-Run Vehicles Died in the Vernon Crash

VERNON, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2025) — A bicyclist was struck by two vehicles and killed early Wednesday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Avenue in Vernon, authorities said.
The collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 22nd near 45th Street, according to the Vernon Police Department.
Investigators said the cyclist — a man whose identity has not yet been released — was initially hit by a southbound vehicle on Pacific Avenue. The impact threw him into the northbound lanes, where he was struck by a second vehicle.
Both drivers fled the scene without stopping to help, police said. Detectives are still working to identify the vehicles and drivers involved.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
A section of Pacific Boulevard between 45th Street and Vernon Avenue was closed for several hours as investigators documented the crash scene.
Lt. Martinez offered condolences to the victim’s family and said the department is asking anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
