Woman on Bike Critically Injured in Mission Bay Car Crash
MISSION BAY, California (January 8, 2019) – A 40-year-old was critically injured when she was struck by a motorist Monday night while riding a bicycle in Mission Bay.
The San Diego Police Department reported the crash about 8 p.m. on January 7 on West Mission Bay Drive near Dana Landing Road.
The woman was attempting to cross the roadway from the north side to the south side when an eastbound sedan struck her, stopped briefly and fled the scene.
The victim was hospitalized with major injuries, but is expected to survive.
The San Diego Police Department is searching for the suspect in a tan or gold 4-door sedan.
