Bicyclist Injured in Car Accident at Power Inn Road, Scottsdale Dr. in Florin

SOUTH SACRAMENTO, Calif., (Aug. 5, 2026) — A vehicle and a bicyclist were involved in a major injury traffic accident Wednesday night in Florin on Power Inn Road at Scottsdale Drive.

The incident occurred on Aug. 5th at approximately 11:08 p.m. near the Florin intersection in South Sacramento. According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved a vehicle striking a bicyclist, leading to major injuries.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene swiftly, and the injured bicyclist was transported to Kaiser South with a broken arm and spinal injuries. The initial call reported uncertainty about injuries, but it was later classified as a major injury collision.

The bicyclist’s condition remains critical, and the authorities have not yet released the victim’s name. The circumstances leading to the collision are still under investigation, and the CHP is urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to determine the cause.
