Bicyclist Injured in Crash at D Street, Sixth Street in Old Town Victorville

Minivan, Bicycle Rider Collide at Victorville Intersection

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (August 12, 2025) — A bicyclist was critically injured late Saturday night after a crash involving a minivan at D Street and Sixth Street in Old Town Victorville, authorities said.

The crash happened around 11:29 p.m. on August 9 at the intersection of D Street and Sixth Street. According to initial reports, the bicyclist struck a gray 2013 Honda Odyssey occupied by an adult woman and a small child. The vehicle sustained significant damage to the passenger side.

Victorville City Fire crews responded and initially called for a helicopter to airlift the injured cyclist to a trauma center. That request was later canceled, and the man was transported by ground ambulance to St. Mary’s Medical Center. His condition has not been released.

Authorities closed D Street between 5th and 7th streets while deputies investigated the scene. By about 12:30 a.m., the roadway remained shut down, though preparations were underway to reopen it.

The driver of the minivan stayed at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

The Victorville Police Department is leading the investigation.
