Bicyclist Injured in Crash Near UC Davis at Pedrick Road (CR98), Hutchison Drive

DAVIS, Calif. (July 29, 2026) — A bicyclist suffered moderate to major injuries in a traffic collision involving a truck near the University of California, Davis campus on Wednesday at Pedrick Road or County Road 98 and Hutchison Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported on July 29th at approximately 12:15 p.m. at County Road 98 and Hutchison Drive, just south of Putah Creek, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP confirmed the incident involved a truck and a bicycle and noted that the UC Davis Police Department was also responding to the scene.

The bicyclist was transported to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with moderate to major injuries, according to CHP dispatch logs.

The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation, and no additional information about the bicyclist or the truck driver was immediately available.
