Bicyclist Injured in Davis Car Accident on Russell Boulevard, Highway 113

DAVIS, Calif., (Oct. 1, 2026) — A bicyclist sustained major injuries Thursday morning following an accident involving a white Chevrolet on Russell Boulevard near UC Davis, just west of State Route 113.

The incident, classified as a major injury traffic collision, occurred on Oct. 1st around 8:00 a.m. on the eastbound Russell Boulevard offramp, according to the California Highway Patrol. At approximately 8:03 a.m., emergency units were en route to the scene after coordination with the University of California, Davis, Police Department and the Davis Fire Department.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed the collision involved a white Chevrolet and a bicyclist. The bicyclist, whose identity has not been released, was reportedly struck, resulting in significant injuries. Responding emergency services provided medical aid and transported the injured party to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Authorities have not disclosed the current condition of the injured bicyclist. The cause of the collision is under investigation by the CHP, who are also seeking any witnesses to the accident to come forward with information.
