Bicyclist Jose Resendez Killed Rosemead Boulevard South El Monte

 SOUTH EL MONTE, California (April 28, 2016)Jose Resendez, 39, of South El Monte was killed Wednesday night when his bicycle was hit by a car at the intersection of Rosemead Boulevard and Rush Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash took place about 9:45 p.m. last night near Whittier Narrows Park.  The female driver and her son who was a passenger in the car suffered injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

While the investigation remains pending, authorities are looking into liability at this time.
