Bicyclist Killed in Ontario Accident on Fourth 4th Street
Man Hit by Car on 4th Street Near 15 Freeway
ONTARIO (August 26, 2017) – A bicyclist was killed in a traffic collision on Fourth Street Friday night, according to The Press Enterprise.
The accident was reported at about 9 p.m., just east of the 15 Freeway.
A statement released by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office said officers responded to the scene after a receiving a call about a cyclist who was struck by a vehicle.
The man was reportedly crossing 4th Street on his bicycle when he was hit by a car. The driver was going east at the time.
Ontario Fatal Bicycle Accident
The rider was immediately taken to San Antonio Regional Hospital where he later died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the motorist involved stopped and called 911 following the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
