RIVERSIDE, California (May 15, 2014) — A 40-year-old man riding a bicycle was killed last night when he was struck by a driver as he attempted to cross Van Buren Boulevard at Doolittle Avenue, according to the Riverside Press Enterprise.
About 10:15 p.m., CHP officers reported the rider was trying to cross the road when the driver of a late-model Ford heading northbound hit the bicyclist in the No. 2 lane.
The injured bicyclist was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he later died of his injuries.
