Bicyclist Dies in Hit-and-run Crash in Sun Valley
SUN VALLEY, Calif. (Oct. 8, 2018) – A bicyclist was struck and killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run collision at Strathern Street and Belligham Avenue, police said.
The collision took place about 8:30 p.m. last night. The 45-year-old man riding the bike eastbound when he was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The driver was in a dark-colored SUV that briefly stopped, but then took off without stopping to help the badly injured man.
Paramedics responded and rushed him to a hospital where he later died of his injuries.
The Los Angeles Police Department is heading up the investigation.

Police are piecing together evidence and will determine fault for this crash.
