Woman Riding Bicycle Fatally Struck by Vehicle
LONG BEACH, California (July 9, 2016) – A fatal hit-and-run collision took place on East Market Street early Saturday morning, according to NBC Los Angeles.
The accident was reported around 1:20 a.m.
As per the article, Long Beach Police Department said a woman was riding her bicycle on East Market Street when she was suddenly struck by an unknown vehicle.
The bicyclist suffered fatal injuries following the crash. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render assistance and fled the scene.
