The accident was reported around 5:40 p.m. near Monterey Boulevard and Foerster Street.
As per the article, police said a 60-year-old man was riding his bicycle when he was struck by an unknown vehicle in the area. The cyclist then hit a parked car, causing him to fall on the pavement.
The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries described as life-threatening. His name was not immediately available.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to locate the suspect.
