
Major Injury Collision at Fresno Intersection
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (July 9, 2024) — A major injury crash involving a Jackknifed semi-truck happened Tuesday morning at West North Avenue and South Dickenson Avenue in Fresno.
The two-vehicle collision left the semi-truck “hanging over the canal” and a car “fully submerged in the canal,” according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the collision between the truck and a 4-door Nissan sedan happened at 6:35 a.m. on July 9th at the Fresno County intersection.
Paramedics responded and rushed at least one person to a hospital with major injuries.
Meanwhile, heavy-duty tow trucks came to pull the damaged vehicles out of the canal and off of the roadway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the truck accident on Dickenson Avenue in Fresno.
