BISHOP, California (June 14, 2017) — Four people were hospitalized Wednesday night following a collision between two vans on the US Highway 395 at Gorge Road, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 6:43 p.m. the evening. A caller to 911 stated that air bags were deployed and people involved were sitting in the vehicles. The two northbound lanes were blocked and paramedics responded to help the injured. Four people were taken by ambulance to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and liability. The investigation will look into what led to the crash, whether either of the drivers were disobeying laws. Speeding, distractions, drunken driving or many other violations can contribute to a person’s liability. A person who operates an unsafe vehicle on the road may also be held liable for injuries caused to others if a crash ensues. It’s advisable that an injured person obtain an attorney to conduct an independent review of the circumstances.
