1 Seriously Injured in Bishop Crash at Highway 168 and Shepard Lane
BISHOP, CA (October 24, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at Highway 168 and Shepard Lane in Bishop.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the accident at about 7:22 p.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason in Bishop. They crashed at the intersection of Highway 168 and Shepard Lane.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described one of the cars involved as a black Honda Accord. Both vehicles obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and extricated a trapped occupant from the wreckage. A person ended up lying in the roadway as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took at least one patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 168 and Shepard Lane to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Bishop crash is still under investigation.
