Horse Rider Injured in Bloomington Hit-and-Run Crash Near Locust and Rose Avenues
BLOOMINGTON, CA (August 27, 2021) – A horse rider was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash near Locust Avenue and Rose Avenue in Bloomington.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the incident at around 9:54 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck a horse and its male rider in Bloomington. The driver hit the victims near the intersection of Locust Avenue and Rose Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the rider left wounded and the horse down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the person to the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Officials also took the horse for treatment of major injuries.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled.
Officers forced the area of Locust and Rose avenues to shut down following the collision. Authorities in Bloomington are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who hurt the horse rider.
