Pedestrian Injured in Bloomington Hit-and-Run at Santa Ana and Cedar Avenues
BLOOMINGTON, CA (May 20, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Santa Ana and Cedar avenues in Bloomington.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred on Thursday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the incident at about 9:27 p.m.
A red colored vehicle with black rims struck the pedestrian in Bloomington. The driver hit the person for an unknown reason at the intersection of Santa Ana and Cedar avenues.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the 10 Freeway. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Santa Ana and Cedar to close following the accident.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The cause of the Bloomington hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
