Bloomington Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Crash Spruce Avenue Jurupa Avenue

Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Bloomington Hit-and-Run at Spruce and Jurupa

BLOOMINGTON, CA (August 7, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash at Spruce Avenue and Jurupa Avenue in Bloomington.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Saturday. Officers reported the incident at about 12:10 a.m.

CHP said a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in Bloomington. The driver hit her at the intersection of Spruce Avenue and Jurupa Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Crestmore Elementary School. They found the 40-year-old woman left suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the victim to a hospital for treatment of a broken leg. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and her condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the suspect did not stop to help the woman and fled the area. Officers forced the intersection of Spruce and Jurupa avenues to shut down following the collision.

The cause of the Bloomington hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
